Who is butterflymama?

The roots of butterflymama are a small family, located in NC, with big ideas and hopes to better our world ~ people, animals and the environment. We had a challenging time personally finding, earthy clothes and home goods that were unique, affordable and supported worthy causes. So, with a lot of positive energy, earthy inspiration and nature's motivation we have compiled an amazing assortment of ever-changing goods to share with you. In efforts to make our earth-friendly products available to everyone, we maintain extremely low prices. We provide customers with excellent communication, customer service, and most of all, the best variety of unique & affordable earthy products available.

Is there a storefront?

At the moment, we do not have a storefront. We are online only... but we do offer special events for locals! We started out working out our home. Several years ago, we outgrew that set-up & expanded.  We now have an office / warehouse in Cary NC. We host occasional Warehouse Sales & other Pop-Up events for locals! Is there a butterflymama catalog?

We accept orders through the site only. We do not have a catalog for two reasons. First, our inventory fluctuates tremendously! From one day to the next, there may be a dozen new products and a dozen sold-out products. Our goal is to keep our inventory ever-changing ~ that's part of the excitement of our site! You never know what you may find from one day to the next. Secondly, we don't want to produce catalogs in attempts to minimize our paper use. We are very aware of our Carbon Footprint and go to great lengths to minimize our impact on the environment.

How can I tell if an item is in stock?

We have "real time" inventory; meaning, what you see on the site is what we have in stock at that very second. It changes quickly and on a rare occasion, there may be an order overlap and we may be out of a product. If that is the situation, you can count on a quick email from us letting you know what alternatives we have for you. But generally, what you see is what is available to ship to you immediately.

How can I tell if an item will fit?

We understand the ironic challenges and conveniences of shopping online. We make our descriptions very thorough and informative to make your shopping experience that much easier. We literally measure every single item! We recommended comparing measurements of our items to an actual item in your closet. We are always a quick email away too ~ ready to answer any questions you may have with promptness and friendliness. Customer Service is of the utmost importance to us. So never hesitate to drop us a note if you have a question about a product.

Do we take orders by phone or mail?

At the moment, we are only set up to accept orders online. This allows us to maintain a consistently secure checkout; while also ensuring that the products you order will almost always be in stock and available to ship out immediately.

Is our checkout secure?

Absolutely! Security is of the highest importance to us and we take it very seriously. We have taken extra measures to ensure that your shopping experience is a safe & secure one at butterflymama. The checkout portion of our site is secured with 128 bit encryption. (You can verify this with a glance at the 'https:' in the address bar of the checkout pages.) As an extra safety measure, we do not store any credit card information. So rest assured, we have gone the extra mile to make this shopping experience as safe and secure as possible.

When will my order ship?

We do our best to ship orders out within 24 - 72 hours. We know what it's like anxiously waiting for a purchase to arrive by mail, the sooner the better! All packages are delivered via USPS Priority Mail which is a 2 - 3 day delivery. So typically, you will have your Butterflymama purchase within just one week (US customers)!

How do we suggest you care for your butterflymama procucts?

Our merchandise comes from a variety of suppliers; ranging in fabrics from cotton to hemp to rayon & more. Our products are as unique as they are beautiful. As they are handmade, slight variations are the norm should never be seen as a flaw or imperfection. We suggest, gentle, cold or hand washing & air drying most of our products to maintain their natural color & shape the best.

Do we sell wholesale?

At the current time, no, we do not offer wholesale pricing. Our goal is to offer products at the absolute lowest prices for our retail customers. We price our products much lower than similar retailers and in many cases, barely above wholesale pricing. Consequently, we do not have room to reduce product pricing any further for those looking to buy wholesale.

At the moment, we are growing faster than we can keep up with. We are constantly designing & integrating new products into our inventory, making improvements to the site and expanding our plans, ideas and dreams. We have some great things in store for the future and it just keeps getting better! Stay tuned!!!
